  • 2013 UMCOR Mission Trip
    Sunday, May 5 to Saturday, May 11, 2013
    Reminder February 1, 2013 deadline approaching for commitment and deposit of $100. We have already arranged the dates with UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), and we will be working with another group in our service. Also we have reserved 5 rooms for 10 adults at the Episcopal Center in Salt Lake City, May 5-11, Sunday night through Saturday breakfast. We intend to use the church van for the trip. We invite anyone interested in attending or sponsoring this trip to contact Rev. Debby Lawrence, Trip Team Leader for a packet of information that includes your commitment and deposit of $100 due by Feb. 1, 2013. Overall cost of the trip will be about $315, plus personal expenses.
  • Zimbabwe Fall 2013 Immersion Trip
    15 Days – Zimbabwe – South Africa
    Fall Quarter 2013; departing Denver International Airport.
    Iliff’s Justice and Peace Program has announced a 15-day immersion learning trip to Zimbabwe and South Africa to take place in 2013. Under the direction of Professor Edward P. Antonio, director of Justice and Peace Programs, this opportunity is open to Iliff students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of Iliff. Professor Antonio is originally from Zimbabwe.The cultural immersion learning program aims to develop partnerships with communities both near and far, to extend cross-cultural understanding and to promote global diversity.

  • 2013 Guatemala Mission Trip
    Saturday, November 30 to Sunday, December 8, 2013
    University Park will send a medical team (with administrative and patient “fun” support) and they will be working with non-profit Salud y Paz (www.saludypaz.org). You do not need to be a medical professional nor know Spanish to participate. We currently have a twelve-person team. Cost is $1,500 per person (includes air fare, food and lodging, in-country transportation, guide and driver-translator, insurance, and team shirt.) A $700 deposit is due immediately. You must have a valid passport. Team leader is George Gramer, who has led five mission trips to Central America. Please contact us to for more information or to register.
  • UPUMC Mission Trip New Orleans 2011

    UPUMC Mission Trip New Orleans 2011

    Fall 2011 Guatemala
    Led by George Gramer, our mission team of eight included two doctors and a nurse, and several others. The trip was mainly of a medical nature, as the team set up clinics in two different areas.

  • April 2011 New Orleans
    In New Orleans, our mission team performed repair projects for those in the parish of St. Peter Claver Church and helped repair water damage to a home. In return, our team was fed crawfish étouffée and other New Orleans goodies.

RAFT (Refugees and Asylees Facilitation Team)
Provides financial and other assistance for the educational goals to the refugee/asylee community in Denver.
